October 2, Sunday, Bike the Bay—Join us for a leisurely bike ride around Jamaica Bay. Approx 22 miles, helmets required. Meet at Floyd Bennett Field parking lot off of Flatbush Ave., 10AM. Must contact me to register For more info contact Robnewmark@aol.com

Oct. 20-23, Thurs-Sun, Nysoea 2011 Annual Conf., at Villa Roman Resort. The theme of this years event is “Partnering and Planning for an Environmentally literate NY".

March 29-April 1, Thursday - Sunday NSTA Conference in Indianapolis, Indiana. The National Science Teachers' Association presents their annual conference. This is the largest science conference of the year.

April 28, Saturday - SCONYC conference at Stuyvesant HS. The Science Council of NYC presents their annual conference. The time will be from 8 AM to 4 PM. Contact Bob: Robnewmark@aol.com

May 12, Saturday, the United Federation of Teachers will hold their Spring conf. Join us at the Dewey Award Luncheon featuring workshops, vendors, publishers, freebies and speakers. For tickets contact UFT

May-6th, Sunday - Five Borough Bike Ride Ride thru all 5 boros, traffic free.  Ride starts at 8am from battery park—fee in advance and helmets req.

May TBA, Thursday Horseshoe Crab Walk. Join Alan Ascher at Plum Beach from 4-6 PM for an unforgettable walk and hands-on adventure. Dress appropriately. For info-AAscher@schools.nyc.gov
